Week of 6/1/20
Great news! You can now check out books from the Lyme Public Library! They are doing curbside pickup, so your parents can call or e-mail the library to request materials. If you don't already have a library card, parents can request one by calling or emailing the library directly (staff@lymepl.org). Click here for more information. Watch the video below to see how to search the catalog at the Lyme Public Library.

Week of 5/25/20
The backyard is the perfect place to explore and learn! This week we will think about all the animals who live in (or visit) our yards. Bugs, birds, rabbits, foxes, coyotes...who's been in your yard lately? Tell me all about the animals you find in SeeSaw! I can't wait!
To get us thinking about backyard animals, here are some books for you to explore:
Do You Like Bugs? by Racheal Martinez
The Birds I'll See by Holly Hartman
See below for two video read alouds: The Very Hungry Caterpillar and There's A Tiger in the Garden
Optional Activities:
To help you keep track of all that you see, here is an Animal Field Guide. You can print it out if you have a printer, but you could make your own, too. Share your work in SeeSaw.
Act it out! Can you dress up or act like a backyard animal? I'd love to see it!

Week of 5/18/20
This week we are thinking about camping in the big outdoors...or maybe the big indoors? The weather is getting warmer and maybe your family likes to camp out in the woods. Or maybe the backyard. Or maybe just the living room! However you like to explore nature, reading books together is the perfect way to end a day, snuggled up under the stars.
This week we will read two books from TumbleBooks. You can find the link in Clever. See below for a quick video on how to search for a book. Then search for the titles:
And You Can Come Too by Ruth Ohi
Camping Spree with Mr. Magee by Chris Van Dusen
Optional activities this week:
Pretend you are camping, and ask your parents for a flashlight to read with the lights off (a blanket fort creates that perfect indoor camping feel).
Think about catching fireflies while listening to Laurie Berkner
Build your own camper with legos
Visit Yellowstone National Park and watch the geyser Old Faithful on their live cam
